Internet System Changes Announced: As part of IAMO telephone’s plans to keep up with technology and provide the best possible service to our customers we will be bringing our Internet operations in-house beginning on October 27th. Specifically:
- We have acquired out own dedicated access to the Internet through the Missouri Network Alliance which should help with network congestion at high usage times.
- We have acquired our own Internet Servers which will allow us to have more control over customer accounts, e-mail and websites.
- We have contracted with Community Connections, Inc. to provide 24 X 7 Help Desk assistance.
New Help Desk Telephone No: Beginning at 12:01am on October 27th you should call 1-877-583-6711 for Internet assistance. This number will be answered 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and 365 days per year. Calls will be answered live if possible but at busy times there will be a wait. If you must wait, Community Connections recommends that you leave a message and “they will call you back”, usually within 20 minutes or less.
Login Names, Passwords, and E-Mail Addresses: There will be NO CHANGES to any of the logins, passwords and e-mail addresses that you currently use.
E-Mail: E-Mail will begin arriving at the new IAMO mail server at approximately 12:01am on October 27th. You don’t need to make any settings changes in your E-Mail program. Web mail will work the same way as in the past and you can find the link to that here: http://iamotelephone.com. If you are a web mail user you should plan to review your web mail settings on the new server and adjust them if appropriate. You will likely need to import your address book if you created one from the old server to the new one, The Help Desk can assist you with that if you need help.
Any mail that you did not retrieve prior to 12:00 midnight on October 26 will remain on the old server through November 30. You can retrieve it till then using the old web mail: Click Here For Old Webmail.
New Website: the http://iamotelephone.com website has been completely overhauled and we suggest you review it. You can always find links to helpful information, the web mail link and other useful links.
